A perfect gift for birthday: Fun Photoshooot on the beach in Encinitas.
Kathleen wanted to surprise her daughter with an unique gift for her daughter’s Sweet Sixteen birthday. She felt that a photoshoot dedicated to daughter would be just magical, and Encinitas beach photography was perfect place to create the session.
I talked with Maura and the magic started to happen, we discussed the wardrobe and the vibe she was wanting to create. She is a beach girl at heart so she wanted to do the shoot on the beach in a more Free People bohemian style.
We decided on Swami’s beach which has always been one of my favorite beaches in Encinitas to visit, or have photo sessions. This is a famous surf spot, with the best views of the ocean and with stairs providing easy access to the beach. This is perfect setting for Encinitas beach photography.

During the photoshoot I found out the beach matched her fun, easy going, free spirit personality and she was not afraid to splash around and play in the waves – cold water and all! Tide was high, creating a perfect backdrop with crashing waves in the background, on the rocks towards the San Elijo State Beach.
The waves were just big enough to add a nice backdrop, and for some stunning photography. It was a truly fun day for Maura to shine and an unforgettable Sweet Sixteen gift.
