Fashion Redux as seen in Fine Magazine.
San Diego History Center and the Fashion Department from San Diego Mesa College teamed up in creating garments that were inspired from the time period of 1915.
The fashion students took the inspiration they found from the garments that were showed to them from the archives from San Diego History Center and the fashion students designed garments to be judged for the 4th Annual Fashion Redux event. Four students were chosen and their garments were photographed by me. I had an incredible team of stylists, hair and make up artist working with me. Our idea was to style each outfit using the concept of how they wore the garments “then” and how they would wear the garments “now”. The concept developed mostly by the changing of the backdrop, props, accessories and the hair and make up.
Each team member was very important in bringing this concept to life. Here is the spread that was published in Fine Magazine.
